Building insulation

Lacus felt can produce a wide range of felts that can be used within the building industry. These felts can offer great acoustic performance, flammability resistance and great thermal conductivity. One of the more rewarding elements about felts produced by Lacus felt is that they are mostly produced with recycled or natural fibres meaning these felts are great for environmental sustainability and reduced Co2 footprint builds.

Fibre reinforced Thermoplastic

Fibre reinforced thermoplastic (mainly sound damping applications which can come in roll, bale or die-cut format with optional scrim and/or adhesive)

Fibre reinforced Thermoplastic with Epoxy resin

Fibre reinforced thermoplastic with additional epoxy resin binder (mainly sound damping applications which can come in roll, bale or die-cut format with optional scrim and/or adhesive)

Natural Fibre bonded with Low melt bi-components

Natural fibres such as Hemp and Jute, bonded by Low melt PES Bi-component fibre to produce felts with high thickness and great thermal conductivity properties

Carded Felt

Felt made of textile fibres, layered to give high thickness parts. Needlepunched or thermobonded for finishing.

Polyester Felt

Fibre reinforced thermoplastic felts composed of polyester bi-component binders and virgin or recycled polyester fibres.

Fulled-Cured

Felts bonded by cured resin (mainly sound damping applications) roll, bale or die-cut pieces with optional scrim and/or other adhesive)
